Spend your next family holiday in Gstaad. Children are just as welcome at our hotel as they are throughout the region. The Saanenland region is distinguished by family friendliness and offers a whole variety of recreational activities for all ages. There is a great deal to discover and explore!

In the summer your children have lots of opportunities to play outdoors and enjoy nature. Swings, sandpits and slides – every village in the area has its own children’s playground.

The Stiftung Alpenruhe also offers a playground as well as children’s railway. Its petting zoo is extremely popular. You can stroke pygmy goats, mini pigs, alpacas and lamas here. There is also a playground and the possibility of petting animals at the Berghaus on Gstaad’s local mountain, the Wispile.

You can toboggan down the Glacier 3000 “Alpine Coaster” from May to October. The 520° loop, steep bends, waves and jumps promise an action-packed speed of up to 40 kilometres an hour. The trip on the summer toboggan run on the Rellerli. High above Gstaad you experience a stunning mountain panorama.

Gstaad Card

Guests who have a guest card can buy a GSTAAD card from May to the end of October.

For the price of CHF 19 mountain lifts, various public transport and recreational offers are included or discounted. Children between the ages of 6-15 can travel on the regional mountain lifts at a price of CHF 9.

You can buy the GSTAAD card at all regional tourist offices when you stay for one night or more (at least two consecutive days).

Winter sports are given top priority in our region. There are safe ski slopes and learning parks especially for toddlers and beginners. We are happy to recommend a ski school to you or arrange a private ski instructor for you.

However, there is also a great deal on offer away from the kilometres of ski slopes: there is an ice skating rink in Gstaad, Saanenmöser and Schönried. You can whizz steeply downhill on eight sledging runs. Each one is different and great fun. So jump on your sledge and off you go!
