Ski Regions & Slopes near Gstaad

Out of the hotel and onto the slopes. The ski region around Gstaad offers both skiers and snowboarders the best snow conditions in Switzerland – and around 250 kilometres of pistes. By car you can reach the first slopes and ski-lifts (for example, at Wispile) within ten minutes. A drive of around 25 minutes will bring you to the only glacial ski area in the Bernese Highlands. The Glacier 3000 is a highlight of any ski holiday in Switzerland, with 28 kilometres of pistes at altitudes of between 1,350 – 3,000 metres. A mix of glacier and adventure pistes ensure a great variety of fun skiing and snowboarding activities.

Other Ski Areas in the Bernese Highlands

There are a wide variety of slopes, pistes and ski-lifts available within a 20-kilometre radius of the Gstaad Palace Hotel. It’s not the only region of the Bernese Highlands worth exploring on your Swiss ski holiday, however. The following ski regions in Switzerland can be reached within 90 minutes if travelling by car, with each offering over 200 kilometres of slopes:

 

  • The Jungfrau Region including the winter sports resorts of Grindelwald, Wengen and others.
  • Adelboden-Lenk featuring the ski area of the same name, as well as the Betelsberg, Elsigen-Metsch area and others.
