Golf in the Bernese Oberland

Playing on one of the most beautiful 18-hole golf courses in the Alps

Playing golf in Switzerland is not only a sport, but also enjoying nature. Switzerland actually has 91 golf courses. Around 70 per cent are 18-hole, and 30 per cent are 9-hole golf courses. From a topographical and climatical standpoint, they are all very different.

The Gstaad-Saanenland golf course (altitude: 1,400 metres above sea level) was built in 1960/61. It is located in the middle of a beautiful alpine landscape of the Bernese Oberland, away from traffic and noise in a protected area and a flat moorland of national importance. The course has been carefully integrated in the countryside and offers you lots of sun and a mild climate.

When hungry, you can enjoy the specialties in the clubhouse, prepared by the top chef Robert Speth from the restaurant Chesery in Gstaad. Enjoy the sporty and familiar atmosphere spread by club members with lots of style and class.

The outstanding and unique driving range (45 knock-offs, partially under cover), putting and pitching green as well as the training bunker are public and accessible for anyone who is interested. The Golf Club offers a large supply of courses during the whole season, for newcomers, beginners and handicap players as well as for non-members.

The course is playable from 13 May to 31 October. Guests are always welcome. A valid member card and handicap of 36 are required. Independent golfers such as ASGI, VCG, League Française and others pay one and a half times the green fee.

You can reach the golf course in Saanenmöser from Gstaad in about 15 minutes.
